On the back of unprecedented demand, ITC Digital’s expansion has been marked by the recruitment of two super talented Digital experts.
Established in late 2017, ITC Digital was created to provide a range of website, software solutions and digital marketing support services to the region’s businesses. As a newly formed sister company to ITC Service, the business made a flying start. To satisfy customer demand, the decision was made to expand the team over the summer by the appointment of Nikki Jefferson and Thomas Gaff.
Nikki is the business’s new Creative Manager, handling design, branding and website designs for a wide range of projects. Nikki’s background as a freelance graphic designer and branding expert made her the perfect fit out of a highly competitive recruitment process. Hitting the ground running, Nikki has already wowed clients with a range of highly impressive projects.
On her new position at the Monkton base, Nikki said “I found working at ITC Digital to be a lot of fun! All of the staff have been very warm and welcoming, making settling in VERY easy. As a graphic designer, naturally I have found designing logos and company branding most enjoyable. However, I have been using my creative skills in other ways such as web design and creating wireframes for complex cloud-based web systems. This has been a challenge. After seeing the end result and receiving positive feedback from clients, it has given me the reassurance that I can be creative in ways that I may not have been familiar with prior. I am looking forward to many more challenges in the future!”
Thomas is a recent graduate from Sunderland University and joins as Development Manager. Fresh out of university, Thomas already had some impressive industry-gained experience working with the likes of Tombola. His skills shone from the outset and he has been working with clients on a range of software development and cloud-based systems. Of particular note are Thomas’ agile project management skills, helping turnover complex projects in a rapid fashion.
Thomas joined the team in August and said “I’ve found working at ITC Digital to be very fun and enjoyable, with a relaxed and jovial atmosphere, where everyone’s opinions have equal weight and are listened to; fostering a great sense of camaraderie. I’ve really enjoyed working on building complex cloud-based web systems, as the challenge of getting these systems to work, and to work well is high but very rewarding!”
Within the current team of 7, ITC Digital are confident of delivering a wide range of solutions for any client in the area – with skills across the board. Operations Director, Colin Harris, said “We spotted a gap in the market last year and had every intention of just establishing the business first before expanding. However, a huge demand for the work we do here has inspired us to investigate recruiting from the wonderful talent base in the North East. Nikki and Thomas are a perfect fit for our business and already have an impressive body of work from such a short space of time working at ITC Digital. They are a joy to work with and add so much to what we do here”.
Not content to rest on their laurels, the company intends to expand the team further before the year is out, and currently has an additional vacancy for a PHP Developer. This additional recruitment will help solidify the current client relationships, fulfil customer orders and also help explore new products, services and markets.
