Who are Amox Design LTD?
Amox was created by Mr. David William Harrison who boasts over 15 years of experience in the Timber Frame Design industry. Our Process
Vision Board
With every project that we take on, we go through a ‘Brand Journey’ to understand how to correctly represent our client’s brand. We work through many steps in this process starting with a vision board where we can identify the key features of the brand and what they stand for/represent.
When creating a vision board, we take inspiration from the company’s goals and aims – their messages and aspirations. In the example of Amox Design LTD, we took inspiration from the technical drawings and the architecture of the wood frames and used that to create a logo we felt reflected the sophistication of Amox, this resulted in the client wanting to adopt one of the letters to be an icon.

Colour Palette
From the vision board, we are now able to create a colour palette. Not every colour will be used but it is good to have variations that we can use within the process.
Amox is a modern design and architectural company – this can be embodied by the colour blue. The colour blue and orange for their professional nature was selected, with the brown representing a calming and friendly nature. Grey was used as a representation of the futuristic approach that Amox takes with their work; while also embodying a calm and friendly nature.
Initial Scamps
Using the mood board and colour palette, we can create various initial scamps where we experiment with different ideas to create a basic logo that will be pitched to the client for feedback.
When designing we aim to achieve a logo that accurately reflects the brand as well as an icon/submark that the client can use. We experimented using a different letter of the company name to try and design an icon that was both interesting to look at but also obvious as to what letter it is representing.
In the bottom left we can see that the name Amox is used combined with an abstract letter ‘A’, it is easy to establish which letter is represented, as with the other designs it may seem as if the company is called ‘Mox’ as the letter is lost.

Final Logo
Once we have feedback from the client we can then begin to redesign, refine and finalise the preferred logo idea. This way our clients can see the progression every step of the way and have direct visibility over the creation of their brand.
The agreed final design was the company name (Amox Design LTD) with a large “A“ surrounded by 4 lines, this is a representation of the accuracy within Amox’s designs and throughout their work.
The client deemed a clean professional and smart logo was most representative, therefore this was the final design.
Icon Design
The icon is used as a brand identifier as a shorthand of the business values and appeal. For example, Apple’s iconic apple is immediately identifiable with the company. Another example would be Amazon, Amazon’s logo is simply their company name with an arrow, but this is such an intelligent design as the arrow starts at A in Amazon and ends at Z. Doing this, Amazon display that they offer products ranging from A to Z.
For Amox we used the large “A” surrounded by the 4 lines as it was a easy identifier to the logo and can be placed on any item or product and it will still be reconised as the logo for Amox.

Business Cards
We moved on to creating business cards. We take the icon that we have created, and we add it to a custom business card where we include all information supplied by the client. This ranged from contact information to business location.
Once the Brand Journey is complete, clients tend to request further marketing materials such as; email signatures, leaflets etc… and then eventually company websites, all of which we can deliver.
