What type of business is supported by this website funding?
Businesses need to be:
- Based in the North East of England
- Less than 250 staff
- An established business (i.e. no startups)
- Not be in agriculture nor fishing
- Haven’t accessed the NBSL fund in the last 18 months
What kind of digital projects are funded?
The fund will cover most projects that we engage in at ITC Digital. This includes:
- Website design
- Branding and graphic design
- E-Commerce websites
- Bespoke Software Development (including Cloud systems)
- Mobile Phone Applications (Android and Apple/iOS)
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), digital marketing, and social media campaigns
The only projects they won’t fund as a rule are printing and running costs – for example website hosting.
What amount of website funding is available?
Website funding is available between 35% and 40% of the cost on projects of a value up to £8,000. There is a minimum value to a project; this is dependent on your region within the North East
How complicated is the process?
The process is very simple – the funding body only requires a form to be completed online, and then a short assessment usually by phone call. The work will need to be completed within a certain timeframe (usually around 12 weeks) and be undertaken by a qualified company on the NBSL register. ITC Digital is already on the register of suppliers and has completed several funded projects.
